Dummy - less

My two year and 8 month old daughter is now dummy-less.  This weaning process was much more easier than I could possibly have imagined.  Amaya had a collection of about five dummies, which she (and we) started to throw out once there was a tear in one.  The final pink dummy lasted about one week before it mysteriously disappeared.  Well, 'mysteriously disappeared', to her.  Her parents in fact know that the new addition to the family, Oslo, had taken a liking to Amaya's dummy and had stolen it for his own play time.  Since the disappearance, she has only asked for it a handful of times and has not woken once asking for it.  In hindsight, I wish I'd done this moons ago.  But I guess that's parenthood.

Ella was three. It was much easier to do at that age (as you have with Amaya) because you can actually reason with them...they understand. Weaning Cally, on the other hand, is proving to be quite difficult. 14 month old babies don't listen to reason.
