Chop Chop

My daughter hates people touching her hair.  She hates it being washed - big time.  She hates it being brushed.  She hates it being tied back.  She hates it being in her eyes.  Most mornings it's a screaming, physical battle to have her hair brushed and tied up before we leave the house.  Admittedly, some mornings I do not even brush it because I don't have the time or patience to deal with her fiery outbursts.  I just whack it back in a ponytail - and hope no one notices.

She used to once hate it being cut ... until ... we met our latest hairdresser.  This hairdresser has a Wiggles coat and that has made all the difference.  There are no more crying sessions the minute we enter the salon.  There are no more home-haircuts because I don't have the mind space to deal with outbursts at the hairdresser.  Once Amaya is sitting in the special 'big chair' and is adorned in her Wiggles coat, she loves to have her hair brushed, watered and cut.  Maybe I need to buy a Wiggles coat and big chair for home?
