Summer Lovin' - Part II

Now that I'm back at work, I'm grieving my summer holidays and the time spent with Amaya, my family and friends.  At least I can spend some more time reminiscing through these photographs.

Above, my dear friend, Tanya, and I, went to the Alicia Keys concert.  Not too sure what we are trying to achieve in the above picture.  It was an awesome concert.  Alicia Keys is H-O-T!  We are due to see Pink in July.  Tanya and her husband, Tim, also came down to Inverloch for the day.  We had lunch at the local pub and took a stroll over the rocks at Eagles Nest (below).

Luke, Amaya and I visited our local swimming pool.  Luke and I have lived in our current residential area for approximately four years and we have never visited the pool - until this summer.  It's crazy that we have never visited the pool because it is literally one house behind us.  We were so impressed with the pool.  It has a real community feel.

Amaya, Poppy and Jack (dog) spent time in the backyard playing.  Who knows why my dad is wearing ear-muffs on his head!

We celebrated my niece, Hannah's, sixth birthday with a number six birthday cake (below).

My other niece, Emily, spent time playing with Amaya (below).  Emily was so gentle with her.  She showed Amaya how to play with water in a bucket.  I only wish they were closer in age in order to remain good friends when they are older.

The kids took some downtime on the hot days and watched their favourite television progams.

The ever-so-patient Luke played games with the children in our backyard.  His creativity never ceases to amaze me.

The glory of all this is that the summer season is not yet over and we have many splendid weekends ahead of us.

Shan, you mightn't have mentioned your weight loss journey in the last 2 blogs but that is prob a good thing, can't let it dominate your life! However - you look gorgeous in the photos posted lately! Alicia Keys HOT - what about Shan?!

I just checked out your profile for the 1st time and I look at the music. While I am reading it I am listening to Antony and the Johnstons and it occurs to me that you are very likely to enjoy his music. I really recommend that you buy the new cd - 'The Crying Light'. Such beautiful music, I think you would really appreciate it.

Looking forward to Thurs night!

Love Kim

These moments are what life is made of. Great summer fun with the kids, outings with friends, bizarre pics of your father with ear muffs on his head for no particular reason other that to make you laugh. It's so wonderful to see that Amaya is growing into such a little princess.

I love the shorts that she got from the market for herself... tell her that she looks fab.... and has her own sence of self, just like her mother...
