Tagged Again

I have been tagged again in the blogging world.  It seems nepotistic to think that you'll want to read information about me, but the tag was to announce seven facts about myself that others may not know to the world.

One:

I play the piano.  I studied the piano up to and including 6th Grade (out of 8).  Quitting the piano is something I deeply regret.  I recently ran into my teacher, Rose, and she has stopped teaching to take maternity leave.  After I finish having my family, studying the piano is certainly something I would like to take up again.

Two:

I have a tattoo.  The tattoo is of a Taurus symbol (a star sign true to the person) and located on the right-hand-side of my lower stomach.  It certainly needs re-colouring.  I'm also investigating getting other tattoos.

Three:

I believe in God.  In Australia in 2008, especially in Generation X, there are few people who uphold a Christian belief.  I only know of two of my friends that believe in God.  My belief in God is not Bible specific, but rather that a greater being and a greater good exists to guide and support me through life.

Four:

When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a teacher, a lawyer and a journalist.  It seems I have one more degree and career to complete!  Writing and world issues is certainly something that interests me on a constant basis.

Five:

Following on from number four above, I have a Law degree.  This is where Luke and I met.  I sat next to him one day in a Tort lecture.  It took me some time to hunt him down as he was so focussed on his studies, but he eventually caved in.  The picture below is of Luke graduating as he was a year ahead of me.

Six:

I'm super-sensitive.  For those that don't know me well, think that I'm tough, vocal and bossy, and often express their sympathy for Luke.  But on the inside, I often self-destruct.  I worry about how I treat people.  I worry about what people think of me.  I cry at all sad things related to children and old people.  I thank my husband, mother, Alison and Brooke for their patience and many listening hours.

Seven:

I have a book dedicated to me - 'Jodie's Journey' by Colin Thiele.  I was about twelve years old when this book was written.  It's about a girl's struggle with arthritis and the loss of activities she was once able to participate in.  It is now studied in some primary schools across Australia.

And there, ladies and gentlemen, are my seven facts about me.  I hope you have learnt something new.

Wow! There was so much there I didn't know. I love that we are constantly finding out more about people.
I shall look forward to more chats soon.
