I'm always making goals. Yearly goals, monthly goals and weekly goals - and some times, even daily goals. I've always been making goals. So, I thought it was about time to share my goals. Beware that some of my set goals may seem minor or insignificant to you, but to me they represent achievement.
Sometimes it just feels likes hours roll into days, and days roll into weeks, and weeks roll into months, and before I know it, another year has passed. A young female Australian author, Kate Holden, who writes in 'The Age', once commented in an article that on New Years Eve she sits down with a glass of wine and writes down the one thing she achieved in each month of the year. I have followed this advice and completed this activity in previous years. I'm simply now putting it all to air.
Anyone care to join me?
October's Goals:
* See a movie by myself.
* Lose 2kgs, which includes exercising 5 x a week.
* Read the novel, 'Home'.
* Complete Amaya's baby book (can you believe I haven't finished it?!).
* Publish 4 x blogs (not including this one!).
* Choose wedding pictures and have them framed (can you believe I haven't done that?!)
I'm a little nervous about announcing all this to my blogger reading world, but I know that we all find inspiration in one another. If you have any other interesting goals for me, or even goals that you do yourself, please let me know. Wish me luck!

hi Shan,
This sounds like a good idea and I like the fact that you have posted about it. (It also gives me the opportunity for a cheap crack...) With so many goals you will get drafted by Geelong :P...
Damn I was barracking for them as well...
As for myself and October goals... umm...
- will go away camping for a w/e somewhere..I feel I'm getting stagnant since getting back a couple of months ago and I need a break. If this occurs you will see photos on my blog as the result.
- get re-inspired about my daily exercises... *yawn* hehe
best of luck !

you are not alone shan. i have lists. everywhere. lists of books i want to read, lists of music i'd like to get, lists of gifts to buy people, but mostly lists of things to do. the things to do range from making doctor's appointments and dentist appointments to putting ella's baby pictures in albums (i've finally printed some - about 300, but they sit waiting). and yes...the baby book. NEVER complete. life gets in the way...and we should let it i suppose. but sometimes we should just do the things on the list too. i had been meaning to back up my music on iTUnes forever and then had my computer updated and lost it all. so now on my list is to back up all the pictures. i hope you can achieve some of your goals this month! lots of love,
