The Growth Chart

AMAYA EVE

Yesterday Amaya and I visited the Health Nurse for our fortnightly check-up. Following is a list of Amaya's development:

  1. 11/8 - 3.57kg : 50cm
  2. 21/8 - 3.53kg : 51cm
  3. 30/8 - 3.80kg : 53.5cm
  4. 13/9 - 4.18kg : 56.1cm
  5. 27/9 - 4.64kg : 57.5cm
My friend Lynda, who is also a mother, reminds me when I am feeling a little overwhelmed that babies change so quickly and it's important to make the most of every stage. The pictures clearly display how much Amaya has changed in just seven weeks. The picture on the top was taken minutes after Amaya's entry into this world, and the picture on the bottom was taken last week. Many people comment on how much she looks like Luke - the eyes definitely have it!

It is amazing how many people comment on Amaya, saying how beautiful she is. But I cannot believe that she has her fathers looks. Not when her mother is a real stunner! Must take after her mother. The life journey is a wondrous one, especially when I have Shan and Amaya to share it with. I am truly a very lucky man.

they DO change quickly, don't they?! i have to remind myself quite often to enjoy every minute, even when i'm feeling a bit sleep-deprived and wishing they were both teenagers and sleeping in until NOON on the weekends!! i'm not sure who your girl looks most like but she IS precious. it sounds like she has a mum and dad that love her madly.
